Photophore - Danser - QDB x Malàkio

The photophore is a timeless decorative object that brings a warm and romantic atmosphere to every room in the house. It can be used to illuminate summer evenings on a terrace or to create a soft and subdued atmosphere in a bedroom or living room. Today, two French craft brands have joined forces to create a unique and durable tealight holder: Q de bouteilles and Malàkio. – Q de bouteilles collaborates with the company Malàkio to give life to a tealight holder made from recycled materials. Malàkio collects the raw material from oyster farmers and restaurants in Brittany and Charentais. After natural drying, they transform them in Nantes where they create all of their objects. The low-tech process without cooking and the proximity of the raw materials makes it possible to make, from this composite, unique objects or in series with a very low GHG footprint. The glass cloche is made by Q of bottles from a magnum of Burgundy wine, showcasing the beauty of raw and recycled glass. To make the base of the tealight holder, Malàkio incorporates both crushed glass from Q de bouteilles' production and oyster shells. – Mix and match this base with our different collections of Q de bouteilles glass bells. – Malàkio base is sold individually, each piece is unique and is handmade in the Malàkio workshop in Nantes
